Well dressed camels

Stunning albumen photograph by Bonfils of two men leading ornately dressed camels through the streets.  The front animal has a decorative hump adorned with bells while the trailing camel holds two beautiful young women protectively covered with a tent.  It is identified in the negative as # 1463, Chameauux porte-sonnettes et porte -palanquin.  This unmounted image is in excellent condition with deep rich tones.  It measures 8 5/8” x 11”.
